Caught up: 2 Corinthians 12.4 VOTD

“[He] was caught up into paradise and heard things too sacred to be put into words, things that a person is not permitted to speak.”

2 Corinthians 12.4

Paul mentioned his out-of-body experiences. The celestial reality is far beyond human comprehension and appreciation.

“Heaven must surely be worth it all,” goes the hymn. How does it serve as a motivation for you?

What Catches My Ear At The Cross?

When the criminal that realized the Lord”s innocence stated:

“Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom” (Luke 23:42)

Our Lord stated to him:

“Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise” (Luke 23:43).

This was a promise, not only to the criminal, but to us as followers of Christ. When we die, we will be carried by the angels to meet our Lord in Paradise (Abraham’s bosom – Luke 16:22). Won’t that be a great occasion? I’m looking forward to it.
