    11-29-2016 Religion Of The Lost

In the religion of the lost, Jesus said, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:22-23 NKJV).  What could be wrong with prophesying, casting out demons, or doing wonders in the name of Christ? Those miracles listed by Jesus for believers were to last only until the New Testament was written: “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.” (Mark 16:17-20 NKJV).  Since then, the faith “was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3 NKJV), and in the Bible.  Anyone claiming to do those miracles, is without Jesus’ authority!

4-14-2016 What Is The Church of Christ #4

Christians must “contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude 3-4 NKJV).  This tells us: (1) “the faith,” or the New Testament, does not change, nor has it changed, since its completion in the 1st Century; (2) trying to find the church of Christ among the twisted teachings of ungodly men is hopeless; and (3) claiming the church of Christ includes all of that twisted teaching is not true!  “The faith” is the only source of pure teaching about the churches of Christ and among the churches of Christ.  The church of Christ is found back to the Bible alone.

9-18-21-2015 The Written Word of God

Concerning His Apostles, Jesus said, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word” (John 17:20 NKJV). He promised them, that “the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (John 14:26 NKJV). Jesus’ life and miracles “are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:31 NKJV). That written Word of God is “the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3 NKJV). No one is being given any more revelations from God today. Those who desire special miracles today, need to read the Bible.
