4-22-2016 No “Separation of Church and State”

There is no such thing as “Separation of Church and State,” not in the U.S. Constitution, or in practice!  The U.S. Constitution never separates “church and state.”  In practice, though, the Federal Government has used “faith-based charities” for years to accomplish some of their programs.  In Tennessee, Catholic Charities administer the Federal program of immigrant resettlement.  Why can pulpits be used to endorse government plans, while the government smothers any influence from “the faith?”  “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them” (Romans 1:18-19 NKJV).  No government prospers while willfully ignorant of God.  Governments collapse with no faith to hold it up!

6-17-2015 The Magna Carta Turns 800!

The Magna Carta was signed into law on June 15, 1215. It protected individual freedom from unjust and oppressive rule by government. The American Revolution and 5th amendment of the United States Constitution were based upon it. This individual dignity and worth did not originate, nor was it granted, only by human law. God created humans “in the image of God” (Genesis 1:27 NKJV). God’s universal law of human worth is: “Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man” (Genesis 9:6 NKJV). Christian morality shows “you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him” (Colossians 3:9-10 NKJV). The Gospel is our spiritual “Magna Carta.”

4-10-2015 What Is Discrimination #5

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith” (Hebrews 11:7 NKJV). Noah could not obey God in building the Ark without “condemning the world.” What if a State or Federal Law had been passed that told Noah he could not “condemn the world,” but had to permit everyone who wanted to to enter that Ark? Amendment I of the United States Constitution says: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Discrimination based on moral values is “the free exercise thereof.” “It is not good to show partiality to the wicked, Or to overthrow the righteous in judgment” (Proverbs 18:5 NKJV).
