· In our state of Georgia, there are over 200,000 known residents living with Alzheimer’s disease.
· There are over 350,000 individuals in Georgia who are care-givers for someone with Alzheimer’s disease, or other dementia.
· Nationally, in skilled nursing facilities, 65% of residents are Medicaid beneficiaries; 69% have some degree of cognitive impairment; 47% have an Alzheimer’s or other dementia diagnosis.
