The habit of saying blessing at meals

Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. (Matthew 14:19 ESV)

І, звелівши натовпові посідати на траві, Він узяв п’ятеро хліба й дві рибі, споглянув на небо, поблагословив й поламав ті хліби, і дав учням, а учні народові.

O LORD our God, hear our prayers dear Heavenly Father on this new day you have given us. Thank you for fresh air, clean water, good soil for the farmers and food that is produced by your generosity. Restore among followers of Christ as Lord, the regular habit of saying the blessing at meals. Lord, bless the food that we receive on this new day to the nourishment of our bodies and use our bodies to help spread the Good News about our salvation and the genuine hope of eternal life in your glorious presence. Shame those who mock Christians for our habit of praying in public and private. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
