The times when we’ve been complacent

And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” (Mark 4:39-41 ESV)

O LORD my God, holy, kind and merciful Father in heaven ~ thank you for the Spirit inspired Scriptures that stir up our faith in you the only true and living God. Once again dear Lord, light the fires of faith in our hearts so that we will go and tell the Good News about the miraculous birth, life, teaching and substitutional death, burial and resurrection of our blessed Lord and Savior. Forgive us for the times when we have been complacent. We have at times sat idly by without even praying for those who boldly go around the world to tell others about the power of Christ to grant eternal life to those who trust and obey him. Help us Lord! In the precious name of our Messiah Jesus, Amen.
