There’s a semi-lengthy post on my blog (http://wp.me/pF5Qb-1D) that attempts to approach Christmas from a biblical perspective. I’ve always liked the holiday myself as a grand time of family togetherness, feasting, and gifting. The last few years I’ve made it an annual habit to read aloud to the kids an unabridged version of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” which we finished again last night. Maybe that story can help balance the materialism to which we are tempted by an ever more godless culture. A merry Christmas to all!
