And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:35-38 ESV)
Our most holy Father in heaven ~ bless all people in the world who hold the name of your beloved Son Jesus at the highest place in their hearts. Open our blind eyes so that we will never lose sight of the vast harvest fields that are starving physically and spiritually because not churches have leaders with the foresight to call and send reapers into those ripe harvest fields. Forgive us Lord, and help us to show tender-hearted compassion toward those now suffering from this worldwide coronavirus plague that is sending some people to their graves before they have learned the message of salvation and given an opportunity to trust and obey Christ Jesus as Lord. Help the medical workers who are risking their own safety in order to save lives. Help Christians to risk our peace and safety in order to save souls. In the precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
