We confess our unworthiness

Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come. Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:11-12 ESV)

Almighty God, our dear Father in heaven ~ we join with others who use their minds and mouths to glorify your most holy name that is holy and has been and will be holy forever and forever! Accept our worship and devotion to your beloved Son Immanuel – our blessed Savior Jesus. Continue to abide with us Lord, as we continue to devote our lives to the glory of Christ. We confess our own unworthiness to bear your name, but we do so along with other sinners who have found redemption by trusting in the gospel message about the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and our obedience to his teaching. Pick us up when we fall dear Father and squash the work of Satan that is designed to destroy our faith. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
