What makes a good community? – JAM

According to a Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, Boulder, Colorado, Holland, Michigan and Honolulu ranked first, second and third in the country as the happiest places to live. Boulder has fresh mountain air and we know what Honolulu offers, but what does Holland, Michigan have besides bitter cold and a struggling economy? Ask the 35,000 citizens and they will reply churches. One resident answered, “Our churches have a lot of good, caring folks in them that are like family to us.” It is a place where faith is at a high and crime is at a low. It is a place where people reach out to help each other and where faith is genuine and applied in everyday life. This is Just-A-Minute with Ed Boggess
