When I failed to initiate a conversation

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

(2 Timothy 3:14-15 ESV)

А ты пребывай в том, чему научен и что тебе вверено, зная, кем ты научен. Притом же ты из детства знаешь священные писания, которые могут умудрить тебя во спасение верою во Христа Иисуса. (2-е Тимофею 3:14-15 Russian)

O LORD God Almighty, the great giver and sustainer of life in all visible and invisible realms! My faith looks to your dear heavenly Father because of your gift to the world of your blessed Son in whom I am trusting for eternal life when this mortal life is finished. Thank you, Lord, for the people who patiently taught me the way of Jesus by their personal example and those who encouraged me to discover truth for myself by studying your Holy Scriptures. Forgive me, dear Father, for situations when I failed to initiate a conversation about Christ Jesus when the opportunity was laid in my lap, yet I let the talk go in the most mundane direction – thinking there would be a better time. Take the blinders off everyone who has an opportunity to show another person the secret of eternal life by faith in your beloved Son. Restore love for the sacred Scriptures which contain the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
