Where no storms ever threaten

For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” (1 Peter 3:10-12 ESV)

O LORD my God, have mercy on your people of faith who wait patiently for your deliverance from all the evil that continues to pollute the hearts and minds of children and non-conscientious adults. Bless all people who desire to follow in the steps of Jesus with wisdom that enables us to accomplish good deeds that glorify his high and holy name. Dear merciful Father, we know it rains on the just and the unjust in this world. Help all those people who are suffering from powerful storms, to trust in Christ as Christians do our best to render aid to one another and others in need. Calm our spirits as we picture in our mind’s eyes that beautiful land where no storms ever threaten. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
