Like most everyone else, I was raised on the KJV. However, I changed to the NKJV when I decided to attend graduate school at Freed-Hardeman and change careers. My first NKJV was stolen at the Gano cafeteria, so I bought another one just like it. A few years later, the binding wore out and I put it on a shelf. I used other NKJV Bibles, but I wasn’t pleased. My parents had my favorite re-bound and I am using it today [in addition to the pocket New Testament].
Two other matters: I am deeply dismayed by the agenda versions that are out there to legitimize some social cause. Also, I use the word “Scripture” more than I do “Bible.” Scripture is such a hallowed word.
