WORD OF THE DAY – Thursday 17 December 2015

Two things I ask of you; deny them not to me before I die: Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the LORD?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God. (Proverbs 30:7-9 ESV)

Dear Father in heaven ~ thank you Lord for all the blessings that we often take for granted. We obviously have much more than we need and do not even personally know many people who are suffering by going hungry. Lead us in paths of righteousness where our eyes will be opened to see opportunities to share the bounteous blessings we enjoy each day. Help us to be content with what we have and to love and defend the truth more than all the false claims being made by people everywhere. We pray in the precious name of Jesus whose truth leads us to eternal life. Amen.
