Years ago back in a Brooklyn housing project…

Years ago back in a Brooklyn housing project courtyard, Barbara Miller was severely beaten, raped and then shot to death over a thirty minute period. More than 38 residents heard her screams and cries for help, but none called the authorities until after the shots. They explained to interviewers that they didn’t want to get involved. Long ago Cain asked, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Actually he was asking the wrong question. He should have asked, “Am I my brother’s brother?” The Lord does not expect us to be each other’s keeper, but he does expect us to be each other’s brother. There is no more disgusting example of blatant selfishness than that of the 38 residents who ignored those cries for help. They had swallowed Satan’s lie-“it’s no skin off my back.” The truth is its both skin off their backs and time off their soul! This is Just-a-Minute
